Why us

JJ As owner-operator of a small boutique hotel, restaurant and bar, top hospitality entrepreneur Juliearna Kavanagh noticed that there is a shortage of trained, passionate and dedicated industry professionals in New Zealand. She found that recruiting for highly motivated hospitality professionals with relevant experience as sous chefs, head chefs, floor staff, 5 star restaurant service or bar managers, among others, has become more difficult due to the seasonal nature of the New Zealand tourist season.

“We believe that there are immense benefits to employing international staff alongside New Zealanders,” says Juliearna. “Other countries treat hospitality as an important profession which leads to a higher calibre of highly trained staff. Bringing these skills to New Zealand provides these professionals with work while benefiting the hospitality industry with their dedication and experience. It’s a win-win situation.”It is wonderful to see New Zealand staff work along side international and it raises the bar on many levels everyone can learn from it.

Juliearna understands that recruiting through the internet can be difficult and unsatisfactory and has come up with an innovative way to ensure that both parties are happy with the results. Every one on our site has excellent English, we have interviewed them in person, checked references, and you are provided with a 30 second filmed interview of a prospective employee plus their CV.
